The Etiquettes of Women Walking in the Streets

As Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh! I hope this finds you close to Allah & in the best of health and Iman, Ameen.

The Etiquettes of Women Walking in the Streets

For women to emerge from their homes is for them to walk separately from
men. The best way to achieve it is to walk on the side of the street closer
to the buildings.

Abu ‘Usaid Ansâri (radillahu), reported that once the Prophet (sallahu
alayhi wa salaam), came out of the Masjid. On the street men and women were
walking very close together. When he saw this, he said, “O women! Get in the
back. You should walk on the side of the street rather than in the
middle”[1]

The narrator reported that afterwards the women became so careful about
walking on the sides of the streets so much so that their garments rubbed
against the walls.

‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar (radillahumah) , narrated that the Prophet (sallahu alayi
wa salaam), said: “It is not permissible for women to emerge from their
homes except in dire necessity; and they should not walk on the street
except on the sides (i.e., meaning close to the buildings)”[2]

Anas bin Mâlik (radillahu) , narrated that the Prophet (sallahu alayhi wa
salaam), was once going somewhere. In the street, there was a woman walking
in front of him. “He asked her to walk on the side. She replied, “ The road
is quite wide” The Companions (radillahu yun hum), of the Prophet (sallahu
alayhi wa salaam), became very annoyed. He said to them “leave her alone she
is a mutineer.”[3]

In Your Mother's Womb for 40 days

As Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh! I hope this finds you close to Allah & in the best of health and Iman, Ameen.

In Your Mother’s Womb for the First 40 Days

Narrated ‘Abdullah (radillahu’ynhu): Allah’s Messenger (sallahu alayhi wa salaam), “True and Truly inspired said, (as regards your creation everyone of you is collected in the womb of his mother for the first forty days, and then he becomes a clot for another forty days, and then a piece of flesh for another forty days. Then Allah sends an angel to write four words: he writes down his:

1. Deeds

2. Time of his death

3. Means of his livelihood

4. And whether he will be wretched or blessed (in the Hereafter)

Then the soul is breathed into his body. So, a man may do deeds characteristic of the people of the (Hell) Fire, so much so that there is only the distance of a cubit between him and it, and then what has been written (by the angels) surpasses and so he starts doing deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise and enters, Paradise, so much so that there is only the distance of a cubit between him and it and then what has been written ( by the angel) surpasses and he starts doing deeds of the people of the (Hell) Fire and enters the (Hell) Fire.”[1]

And in another narration the Prophet (sallahu alayhi wa salaam) said: “After an embryo is Forty-two days old, Allah sends an angel to it who shapes it, forming its hearing, sight, skin, flesh and bones. Then he says: “O my Lord! Shall it be male or female? The Lord utters His judgement, and the angel writes it down.”[2]
